The Import and Purchase Department manages the company’s entire import system. The products are delivered by air, sea and land transport. Import and purchase coordinators are involved in the entire process: from assigning purchase requisitions to suppliers to stocking. The import coordinators manage each delivery according to the terms of sale and the chosen shipping method, all the while maintaining temperature conditions in accordance with the GDP Guidelines. When the goods arrive in Israel, the import coordinators ensure they receive clearance from customs and local regulatory authorities, including the issuance of standards. After the goods are released, the department is responsible for coordinating deliveries to the Company’s warehouses and supervising the stocking process.
